Throughout history, people of strong character and skill have effectively ushered in New Era’s of change. These were the Black Sheep! The Men and Women who tenaciously sought after social, environmental, political, or economic success! No matter the obstacle or the voice of public opinion they adhered to their values, never yielding and taking the easier road. These are our mentors and are greatest assets!
Black Sheep of the Year – Jenna Ortega
Jenna Ortega is a popular American actress, model and Black Sheep of the Year. She started her acting career at a very young age and starred in many iconic films leading to her becoming the most promising young actresses in Hollywood today. She is well-known for starring in “Insidious Chapter 2” and she is now gaining immense fame with Netflix’s hit show “Wednesday”. In her relatively short acting career, she has portrayed some very popular roles in many films and TV shows.
Black Sheep of the Month – Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez, our Black Sheep for this month, is an American actress, singer, songwriter, and TV producer. She has found great success at a very young age and created an exclusive space for herself in media and show business. Her fans call themselves Selenators. Read on to learn more about the talented artist.
Black Sheep of the Month – Beyoncé
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is a popular American singer, actress, songwriter, and record producer. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, she performed in a lot of dancing and singing competitions as a child and rose to fame in the late 1990s as a group member and lead singer of Destiny’s Child. Her solo career has an immense cultural and musical significance thathas made her an essential 21st-century pop music artist.

We are all a work in progress. Much like hair, we are the crafters of it. We get to choose the style. Some times our hair and lives are messy. Sometimes we wake up on the wrong side of the bed, sometimes we have “bad hair days”, sometimes we look amazing, sometimes we look like we need a trim…some people love clean cuts and clean lives, others love long flowing hair and flowing lives.

J. R. “Johnny” Cash, most known as The Man In Black , was an incredible singer, musician, writer, and actor. Many experts consider him as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. His approach to music and his songs about the lives of everyday people made him extremely popular.
Black Sheep of the Year – Keanu Reeves
Keanu Reeves is a well-known actor, musician, director, and producer of Canadian origin. Over the years, he has acted in a wide variety of genres, e.g. drama, sci-fi, action-thrillers, and comedies. He is best known for his work in The Matrix trilogy, The Devil’s Advocate, and Constantine, among others. Keanu is known for his honest and humble character in Hollywood and he has been one of the highest-ranking stars in the industry for the past few decades.

Wakanda Forever! The Black Panther Lives On! Hi everybody! Welcome to our monthly segment. Sorry for the late post, but I wanted to take my time on this one. I’m sure you already know this, but I wanted to commemorate September’s Black Sheep of the Month with this small heartfelt piece. Recently, the world lost a truly incredible talent, who many believed was only just getting started in Hollywood and had barely scratched the surface in terms of his unlimited potential.

An Olympic Gold Medalist and former Heavyweight champion, Ali is an international icon and an inspiration to many he is our Black Sheep of the Month Muhammad Ali.
Black Sheep of the Month – Zendaya
The A-lister child actor pipeline from the 2000s has produced some very talented and successful celebrities. Zendaya is one member of this club who has achieved immense popularity and culture relevancy. She is a popular American actress, dancer, and singer. Her performance came to the spotlight in 2010 with the TV comedy “Shake it Up”. Afterwards, she started appearing in many blockbuster movies. Currently involved in a number of projects, the young actress has a huge career ahead of her.

Welcome back all Black Sheep! We hope that you are all great and well on your path to success and purpose. We wanted to bring you today one of my personally favorite actors, Robin Williams, also fondly known as the funnyman. Most known as a creative American comedian and actor. He is loved by both children and adults because of the fact that he always put smiles on their faces.

Black Sheep of the Month – Paul Walker was an American film actor, racing driver, model, and philanthropist. He was widely recognized for his role as Brian O-Conner in the “Fast and Furious” movie franchise.
Bob Marley The Black Sheep
Reggae music genre has managed to captivate virtually every corner of the world with its charm. This has become possible thanks to Bob Marley – the genre’s chief ambassador. Bob Marley was a Jamaican musician, black sheep, songwriter, and singer. He helped introduce reggae music to the world and remains one of the most popular and beloved artists to this day. He told stories of his home in Jamaica, politics, and his Rastafarian religion through his music.
February’s Black Sheep of the Month, Malcolm X
Malcolm X is one of the most fascinating historical figures of the 20th century, so much so that he often seems more a reflection of the politics than the reality of the man. His real name was Malcolm Little and he was an African American Muslim human minister and a courageous advocate for the rights of African Americans. He indicated white American in the harshest terms for its misconducts against black Americans.

He campaigned for better conditions, treatment, and pay for exploited farm workers throughout North America. The civil rights activist, labor leader, and farm worker worked hard for better conditions for agricultural workers.

In ordinary day to day life we often tell ourselves and others how silly we are or how great we are. It could be a mistake we made or a project we nailed…we may make a joke like, “Wow, I guess I’ll never be good at this. Haha.” Or the opposite, “I knew I was going to get the promotion, I deserved it and worked my ass off for it!” Whether we really believe what we say or not, one way or another we tell people and ourselves WHO WE ARE on a surface because the surface is an easy place to say something honest. There isn’t much risk there.

Jay-Z entered the music industry in the 80s and has won numerous awards and honors throughout his career.

Through our experience, content, articles, series, or books, we hope to begin to disseminate fact from fiction and help those who lack the information necessary to implement change in their lives.
We are here to bridge the gap for those seeking answers. Whether you came from a similar upbringing to E or Phan, have the same professional, athletic, or intellectual background looking to find the answer to the next step, or simply looking to connect with others looking to be of value not only to themselves, but others as well, well welcome to Black Sheep Heritage.
Furthermore, we are going to offer not only our experiences to help, but notorious Black Sheep of the past as well. Fortunately, Black Sheep have always been present. They have always broke the status quo to bring about something new. Against insurmountable odds, Black Sheep of the past and present, have fought to innovate the times.
